Refunds

This page applies when you have paid Cloud Layerhub for a teaching programme under a written enrolment note. This website does not take payment. Consumer rights under GB law are not reduced by anything below.

Eligibility

A full refund is available if you cancel in writing before the first live session of that programme and before digital desk packs have been issued. Distance-selling cooling-off for consumers follows the statutory period where it applies; tell us you are exercising it.

Timeframe to ask

Send the request within 14 days of the enrolment note for a cooling-off claim, or at least five full working days before the first live session for a simple cancellation. Later requests are considered as partial or declined, as below.

Full or partial

Full: unused Desk Pass or Lab Seat cancelled before materials and before session one. Partial: after session one, we retain a reasonable amount for teaching already delivered (typically one-sixth of a Lab Seat per completed module, rounded). Field Cohort cancellations are quoted in the enrolment note because calendars are private.

Non-refundable items

Third-party venue catering already ordered, MMP or store accounts you purchased yourself, and printed packs already posted. Alumni reading-list access already granted is not unwound for a partial refund.

Process

Email hello@cloud-layerhub.digital with the subject “Refund” and your enrolment reference. We confirm receipt within two working days and decide within ten working days of having the facts.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds travel by the original payment method where the processor allows it, otherwise by UK bank transfer. Allow five to ten working days after approval for the funds to show. We do not refund in store credit.

Cancellation by us

If we cancel a cohort, you choose a later seat or a full refund of the fee paid for that cohort. We are not liable for travel you booked without our written advice to travel.

Exceptions

We may refuse a refund where materials were downloaded in full and no session remains, where the request is after the programme end date, or where the seat was used by a colleague after a name transfer we already approved. Statutory rights for misdescribed teaching still apply.
